About
Crystal's Chosen was created after the Dragonsong War; where Leiah, Zane, Yumi, Ryo and Elilwaen had agreed that they needed a unified front as individuals blessed by Hydaelyn. With their mission and foundation being to help those with the Echo to not only understand their powers but also that no one was alone to suffer in silence of said abilities. Together they established their Free Company.Athena was their first recruit, after having a chance encounter with her post recovery from her injuries. Her connections with Estinien solidified the friendship quickly with Leiah, immediately agreeing to join. Though she does not physically stay nearby, and travels alone, she spends her time searching out others to recruit.~ Stormblood ~Lanette joined soon after when the Scions had to assault Baelsar's Wall. The Twin Adder had ordered her as an adventurer to join the effort, she reached out to Leiah to under the guise of joining to learn more of the Echo however found herself fond of her fellow warriors. She abandoned the Twin Adder to pledge her full support to the Free Company, unbeknownst to her that the Elder Seedseer held no grudge to the decision due to Leiah's consistent heroics.With the money saved, Ryo and Zane had managed to pool together funds from everyone to purchase their own home. Together they all purchased a home in the Lavender Beds of the Black Shroud, a large house near the southern end by the forest.Semir met Leiah in her expeditions in Ivalice with the assistance of the Lexentale Family, also known as the Majestic Imperial Theater Company. Though hesitant at first due to the company, after witnessing her prowess and learning of her history he warmed up to her. Before she left to return back to Aldenard, she offered an invitation to join which he agreed to immediately. Though he does not leave the Far East to continue his fight against the Garleans, the Free Company serves as a valuable network for communication with the rest of the world.~ Shadowbringers ~Gadj had a chance encounter when Leiah was in Gangos to assist the Bozjan Resistance. When they shared a glance they both experienced the Echo's power of flashbacks of each other. After coming to, she extended an invitation to join them in Limsa Lominsa, where he traveled to after the campaign.Qumomo met Athena who was traveling back to Ishgard to catch up with the state of affairs. Before even meeting the Lalafell, they introduced themselves to the Hyur and beseeched for an invitation to the company, their Echo giving them the forecast of the encounter as the reason. They are invited soon after.Finnea happened to meet Yumi in a chance encounter in Limsa Lominsa, where the Au Ra was stocking supplies before returning to Mor Dhona. Both shared an Echo vision upon introductions and Finnea begged to join their Free Company to better understand what the Echo was. Considering the Hyur's power was sight-based, Yumi took it upon herself to invite the new recruit.~ Endwalker ~Venase met with Athena in Radz-at-Han as the Troupe Falsiam returned to Thavnair. The Viera had an Echo vision upon glancing towards the Hyur, having only experienced a small handful since receiving the Blessing. She asked the woman why she had the vision, which Athena had exclaimed what they entailed and brought her back to the Mists. The Dancer was accepted immediately with the group.~ Dawntrail ~Hydaelyn and Zodiark were no more, Primals or towers were no longer a threat in regards to tempering, and the Scions were disbanded. No new Warriors of Light with the Traveler's Ward would rise in this new chapter of Etheirys as Hydaelyn could no longer bless individuals (though they could unlock the Echo). Now they recruit individuals devoted to the cause and hope to find more of their kind.Each have their own duty/mission in the collective to better their star, and though they be malms apart they will always answer Azem's call to combat evil.
